Lawn Chair or Blanket
Bring a lawn chair or blanket so you can settle in comfortably on the museum lawn.

Plan a Visit
Texas Legacy in Lights is easy to attend, but a few simple things can make the night much more comfortable. This is the checklist we want visitors to have in mind before they head to the museum lawn.
Visitor Checklist
You do not need tickets or special gear. You just want to be comfortable on the lawn, ready for the show, and in place before the pre-show begins.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket so you can settle in comfortably on the museum lawn.
A flashlight helps when you are walking in and out after dark, especially if you are arriving with family.
Depending on the time of year, bug spray is a smart idea for mosquitoes and other evening insects.
Bring water, especially during warmer months, so the evening stays comfortable from start to finish.
A light jacket is worth bringing in cooler months when the temperature drops after sunset.
Give yourself enough time for parking, seating, and the unique pre-show that helps set the mood before the film begins.
Walk out into the field and sit in the speaker rows, not around the reflection pool. The sound is dramatically better there, especially if you are hard of hearing.
Where To Sit
Walk out into the field and set up between the flower beds, where the speaker rows create the strongest sound experience. Avoid sitting right around the reflection pool if you want the fullest, clearest audio.

Set up in the field inside the highlighted zones between the flower beds and speaker rows.
Sitting right around the reflection pool looks tempting, but the sound will not carry as well there.
